There are 3 ways to create meaning and as you may have heard me mention before, meaning is the cornerstone of value in your life. The more meaning you give something, the more value that it has and the more you will consciously focus on that thing you have given meaning to.
When you consciously focus on something long enough it becomes habit and that is where real transformation occurs.
For example, the more you value your health, the more you will invest in your health and fitness and stop yourself from doing things that detract from your health and fitness goals.
When you value your health long enough it becomes a lifestyle and is no longer a constant battle to do the “right thing”. Your goals, feeling and actions will be aligned.
There are 3 steps to adding meaning in your life as it relates to neuro-scientific approach to coaching.
Define, refine and align specific things in your life. Here is an example you can do right now.
- Define: What does being healthy and fit look like for you? Define it. What would you do and say? How would you feel?
- Refine: What would not being healthy and fit look like for you? What would you do and say? How would you feel? You can refine things when you look at what it is not like.
- Align: What do you need to feel, say and do to show up as a healthy and fit individual everyday, so that your words, feelings and actions are aligned with your vision of being healthy and fit?
If you take 10-15 minutes to do this exercise you will see how impactful it can be.

The interesting part is that all feelings rooted in higher frequencies such as love, acceptance, willingness, forgiveness, compassion, joy, truth are the cornerstone to happiness and happiness is freedom. As soon as we try to control things we begin to lose happiness.
